MounaMay Dance & Pilates

MounaMay Dance & Pilates celebrates it 16 year anniversary. You can join our dance classes, pilates classes and performance classes. We offer classes at beginner, intermediate and advanced level. You are welcome to join our classes in the centre of the Hague at the Koorenhuis. We also provide Bellydance workshops, private classes, group performances and personal Fitness training. The classes are provided by Loraine Mailissa.

All Bellydance and Pilates classes are at the Koorenhuis in the center of the Hague.

Very important; the bellydance classes provide fun and a moment of relaxation after a busy working day.

Bellydance classes at several levels

You can take bellydance classes at several levels here, from beginner to advanced. There are also bellydance classes for the performance group.

Good for body and mind

The bellydance classes represent exercise and also greater physical awareness. They let you work on your endurance and improve your posture.

Personal attention

During the bellydance classes, there’s always time to ask questions and room for personal attention. The quality of the classes is very important to us.

Missed classes can be caught up

Missed a class during the course? In agreement with the instructor, you can retake the class at a different time within the same course period.

Floor Kennedy

Loraine knows a lot about the human body, and about different styles of dance. Loraine is fully committed to the school and she’s focused on getting the best out of her students. This makes the classes both relaxing and challenging! I am planning to keep dancing here for a long time!

I’ve been dancing with joy at MounaMay Bellydance School since September 2015. The classes always start with a great warming-up, a yoga-like mix of stretching and balance. Wonderful! I really like how several classes are dedicated to one subject, like the use of your arms or working on the posture and movements of classical Egyptian dancing. This gives you time to really master the techniques. Later classes build on what you’ve already learned. The group is very friendly as well. Classes always feature dancing together in a circle, which is a lot of fun. I’m really looking forward to the next four months!

I have been attending to MounaMay’s performance group lessons for many years. I have learnt plenty of new things about technique, but I have also improved how to communicate with the public and how to express feelings and emotions while dancing.
